Christian Youth Adventure Holidays in 2012
Inspire
2nd Mar - 4th Mar
Inspire is a holiday and training conference for all those who serve as team in any capacity on West Runton Holidays. It is a time of fellowship, bible teaching relevant to leading camps, training and a lot of fun.
This year’s theme is Discipleship, and we are very excited to announce that Ian MacDonald will be coming to talk to us on this subject. As well as worship and reflection, the programme will consist of camp related seminars, karting, an overview of West Runton’s year, lots of tea, coffee and cake and a grand dinner party on the Saturday evening.
The Runton community has always been a close one and Inspire offers an opportunity to get to know each other better, meet new people and share what God has been doing through the camps.
We warmly invite and encourage all team to come and be part of this event held at Letton Hall each year.
The standard cost is £50 for adults, but only £30 for students/unwaged, £20 for under 15s and free for the under 3s!
Motivation

Motivation is an Easter Study Camp specifically designed to meet the needs of Year 11 to 13 students by offering three elements: spiritual input, fantastic water sports and academic help.
We provide students with a structured study environment, invigorating outdoor activities and inspiring Christian worship and Bible teaching. The day is structured to give around four to five hours of study time in three slots – two in the morning and one in the evening. Drinks and snack breaks are provided throughout!
Broads Adventure

If you love the outdoors, are in school years 7-10, and have a sense of adventure, join us for a week learning to sail on the beautiful Norfolk Broads.
Whether you’ve been before, or have yet to experience sailing on the broads, come along to learn new skills, play new games and learn more about God. The Broads are a series of rivers and wider expanses of water where everyone can learn to take control of the yachts and the dinghy that each yacht tows. From rigging the sails to helping to rustle up scrummy meals in the galley, manoeuvring dinghies to tacking across the river, under the watchful eye of experienced skippers, you’ll develop skills needed to helm the boats so by the end of the week you’ll be sailing them yourselves!
Snow Switz

Snow Switz is packed full of challenge, excitement, white stuff, goggle marks, friendship, revision and praising God. Whether you were hitting the slopes before you could walk, or you have yet to get out there, we accommodate for all abilities of skiing and boarding. Our qualified British instructors make the lessons fun and informative, and free ski time with other young people and leaders allows you to explore the slopes at your own pace.
Our Adelboden resort has an excellent range of slopes and there is a massive area of mountain to explore, with stunning views and great hot chocolate!
Surf Romania

We are now fully booked for girl's spaces for 2012, but still have one boy's space left.
Join a team to provide and run an activity holiday for Romanian young people.
Would you like the opportunity to take part in a project which enables Romanian young people to have the holiday of a lifetime? Enjoy the holiday with them alongside training to serve God better.
We aim to raise money to pay the camp fee for 35 Romanian young people, some of whom come from a local orphanage, some from the surrounding villages. The money we raise also helps equip the Christian activity centre to provide all year round holidays. Before we go, a specific fundraising venture in the UK will be organised for you to take part in (eg a sponsored Kayak trip down the River Thames).
During the holiday we will present the good news of Jesus Christ and share the fun of Windsurfing, Sailing, Cycling, Canoeing, Kayaking, Archery, Football, Craft Activities, other land based games and more!

Wye 2012

Come to WYE for exciting outdoor activities balanced with chilling out by the river and camping in the gorgeous Wye Valley.
No experience necessary – you can try kayaking, gorge walking, mountain biking, caving, climbing and hill walking. Each activity takes place in the breathtaking scenery of the Brecon Hills, the Forest of Dean or the river Wye.
Experience living under canvas, and watching the stars as you brush your teeth (but don’t worry, there are modern amenities and showers!

Lakeland Challenge

Lakeland Challenge offers a fantastic week of outdoor activities in the heart of the Lake District.
Based in an outdoor centre on Windermere, this will be an unforgettable week of outdoor activities, adventure and new friends. Each day you’ll get to choose from a range of activities, such as Sailing, Climbing, Fell Walking, Gorge Walking and Kayaking. Subject to weather, you’ll get to try all of these activities, but if there are one or two you’d rather not do, that’s fine too. In the safe hands of our qualified instructors you’ll experience the best the Lake District has to offer, both on the mountain peaks and the lakes below. Whether you’re experienced in the activities or have never tried them before, you’re sure to find new challenges and lots of fun.
At the end of each day, you’ll return to our centre to be welcomed by warm showers and delicious cake. Each day we spend time looking at the Christian faith and the person of Jesus through informal discussion, small groups and interactive talks. Whether you’re a committed Christian or have never been to church in your life, there’s space to ask relevant questions and learn from each other’s experiences. Sail and Surf

Sail and Surf offers a fantastic week of Sailing and Windsurfing on Lake Windermere.
Our accommodation, located on the edge of the stunning Lake Windermere, is a superb, catered activity centre with great water sports facilities on site.
