We are a group of people who are passionate about Jesus and the difference He makes in our lives and that passion expresses itself in running exciting activity holidays for young people. Graham and Libby Woodward as senior leaders work with a team of overseers ensuring that the holidays are excellent in every aspect, offering a quality safe holiday for all the young people that book with us.
We
have been involved with youth work and young people’s holidays for
years. Graham was a camper on a West Runton Holiday when he was just 9
years old and has been junior team, team, led Kart Camp for a number of
years, has overseen Ski Runton for the past few years and now alongside
Libby takes on the role of Senior Leader. Libby, although being on the
team of Ski Runton twice in the late 1990’s she is relatively new to
West Runton, however she has years of experience working with Youth For
Christ, teaching secondary school RE, being a pastor at Trent Vineyard
Church, Nottingham and now is the director of Schools & Youth
Ministries, Chelmsford, a local schools work charity.
Together our hope is that God has bought us into this role to serve all the holidays we offer, offering guidance, direction and general support where needed. We are excited about all our holidays, whether they have been running for years or are new. In all we do we want to see young people meet and get to know Jesus in a relevant way as they explore the Christian faith as well as the exciting outdoor activities. In 2009 West Runton Holidays will be running 15 multi activity Christian holiday opportunities for young people aged between 9 & 21 as well as opportunities for others to come along and serve on team. From Karting to Windsurfing, Theme Parks to Abseiling, Crafts to Gorge Walking, Mountain Biking to Skiing, there are many opportunities to experience a range of adventurous activities outdoor pursuits with West Runton Holidays. And not only do we aim to provide a great activity holiday but also to share God’s Good News in a stimulating way.
Each of our holidays offers a different range of activities for differing age groups, so have a browse through the holidays on offer this year and see which one inspires you.
We work in association with Scripture Union and run a range of activity based holidays for young people. The Christian content is Bible based and varied to suit the age range of each holiday and includes informal talks, worship, drama and discussion groups. Everyone is expected to participate fully in all aspects of the holiday.
Our leaders, who give their time voluntarily, are carefully selected and supervised, contribute to the overall cost of the activities and are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure issued by the Criminal Records Bureau.
